The Union perchloroethylene dry cleaning machine has
proved to be the most perfected cleaning concept ever designed.

The Union perchloroethylene 800 series machine, achieves notably high productivity with fewer operator tasks. 1 bath dry to dry processing takes 26 minute and 2 bath takes 31 minutes cleaning 25 pieces, this has to be the fastest machine in the world. This new generation machine was first introduced as a 45 lb capacity in year 2000, as the "Ideal 400".

Daily tasks with the machine are significantly reduced, self cleaning button trap and lint screen are now a once daily requirement. Operating the computer-controlled AutoStill™ waste pump out, and using the combined filter drop and one bath cleaning program is basically all that is required.

Operation of the automatic, self-cleaning water separator is  a weekly function but can be totally automatic by a computer process. A manual still scrape out is only required once monthly.

The machine’s advanced dialog computer has many user friendly features. A typical program selection could include water separator cleaning, filter dropping, still waste pump out, a whites clean or simply a normal dry cleaning process.

The P & L 800 series has the upgraded version of Union’s Second Heat-pump—the principle of this technology is to reduce energy consumption by harnessing the 120 deg C waste heat of distillation to use for drying process. The results of this is savings in cooling water as well as in heat energy. Using a new super deodorization process, the solvent vapour level inside the open loading door is less than 40 ppm..

The stills fitted to these machines are exceptionally large. Each model is capable of distilling the complete volume of the working tank volume in one batch. The StilMatic feature allows the automatic transfer of still residues into the waste bin. This will be welcomed by operators that do not like to handle oily and smelly substances.

Cage loading door can be specified to open to the right or the left which allows the machine to be placed against the side wall on either side of the workshop.

Features could include Auto Dry Control, Self Cleaning Lint Screens and button traps, Self Cleaning Separator, Secure Floor Tray, Door Locks, Second water separator, Both manual and automatic operation.

Programs include fully automatic filter maintenance that can be carried out in the background while dry cleaning is in progress.

Features can also include Arctic Line refrigerated solvent chilling, Recuper solvent vapour absorption and de-colour absorption filters, in fact a complete choice of filter combinations that cover every eventuality.

Since the introduction and success of the P-850, the range has been extended to include the wide 3 tank configuration XL-835, L-850, L-860, L-890 machines together with the additional two tank slim machines, XP-835, XP828, XP825, P-840 P-860 slim line machines.

Parrisianne installed a bespoke slimline perc 60lb capacity dry cleaning machine in North London during 2005, Built by Union to Parrisianne's customer specification, this remains to be the only successful slim 60lb capacity machine in existence. Another first for Union and Parrisianne.
